ABOUT Terrell VPA
Established in 2018, the Terrell Visual and Performing Arts programs have grown into local, state, and nationally recognized programs. Under the direction and leadership of Brad Ray and Shahrzad Abassi (Art), Christen Reyes (Dance), Hunter Lewis (Instrumental Music), Nathan Wilks (Piano/Music Theory), Bentleigh Nesbit (Theatre), and Mary-Margaret Soknich (Vocal Music) these directors have paved the way for arts education in Fort Worth ISD creating exclusive experiences and opportunities for Terrell Apprentices throughout their high school experience.

Bentleigh Nesbit
Bentleigh Nesbit is the proud director of Theatre at IM Terrell, where she has served for the past seven years. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and is in her tenth year of public education in Fort Worth ISD. Outside of teaching Bentleigh is an active actor, stage manager, props designer, and director in DFW. Her previous directing credits include OKLAHOMA!, 9 TO 5, SISTER ACT, WEST SIDE STORY, LEGALLY BLONDE, and GREASE. Her favorite onstage roles include STEEL MAGNOLIAS (M'Lynn), FOOTLOOSE (VI Moore), NOISES OFF (Belinda Brown), and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (Frau Blucher).
