ABOUT Terrell VPA

Established in 2018, the Terrell Visual and Performing Arts programs have grown into local, state, and nationally recognized programs. Under the direction and leadership of Ebony "Nickie" Johnson (Art), Christen Reyes (Dance), Hunter Lewis (Instrumental Music), Timothy Brendler (Piano/Music Theory), Bentleigh Nesbit (Theatre), and Mary-Margaret Soknich (Vocal Music) these directors have paved the way for arts education in Fort Worth ISD creating exclusive experiences and opportunities for Terrell Apprentices throughout their high school experience.

Mrs. Veronica Schramm is a born and raised Texan from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Before coming to Fort Worth Independent School District, Mrs. Schramm taught a large private studio of strings and piano students.

Mrs. Schramm earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington studying under Dr. Diane Lange, Dr. Clifton Evans, and Dr. Martha Walvoord. She is currently completing a Masters of Music Education at Tarleton State University under Dr. Vicky Johnson, and will graduate in December of 2022.

As an educator, Mrs. Schramm’s students continually achieve excellence at local and regional levels. The ensembles at I.M. Terrell have been showcased as a premier program, performing concerts for many esteemed guests and events.

Mrs. Schramm currently resides in Arlington, TX with her husband, two children, and pets. In her free time, Mrs. Schramm enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and studying Taekwondo. She hopes to earn her black belt in 2024.
